"Becoming a leader is synonymous with becoming yourself.
It is precisely that simple, and it is also that difficult."
Location
While the tutorial model of the Wright Graduate Institute relies primarily on one-on-one instruction by phone, e-mail and online, students can expect to meet quarterly at the Prairie Springs Woods Conference Center campus near Elkhorn, WI.
Originally built in 1969, the retreat center campus features two architecturally striking buildings built with wooden beams arced into hyperbolic parabolas, known informally as Dome I and Dome II. The main floor of the second dome is the retreat center's primary instructional and community gathering space, accommodating up to 115 individuals in lecture-style seating or 80 individuals seated at tables. Including the three smaller buildings present at the center, there are a total of seven meeting spaces and dormitory-style sleeping quarters for up to 75 students and faculty. The center is equipped with a fully stocked mechanical shed, commercial kitchen, wireless Internet access, plentiful parking areas, and a private drive.
Directions to the campus from Chicago, IL
- Take the Edens North to Tri-State I-94 towards Milwaukee.
- Exit off the Tri-State in Illinois on to Route 173. Go West through Antioch to Richmond.

- You will notice a plain white sign/billboard on the right. The road to The Center is gravel and across from the mailbox.
- Turn right after the sign/billboard and follow the gravel driveway about 1/2 mile to guest parking. Park and carry bags to the basement of the third building on your right, or follow other posted directions upon arrival.

Before beginning my work at the Wright Graduate Institute, I didn't know how to learn. I knew how to memorize stuff. Everything I'd learned in my life had been memorized and forgotten because I'd never integrated my learning into who I was. Now, I am relearning how to learn and engaging my curiosity in a completely different way at a very personal level.
